THE TAGGING CULPRIT
I forgive you ;>
Rules:
1. You must post these rules (VERY Important )
2. Each person must post 10 things about themselves on their journal.
3. Answer the questions the tagger set for you in their post, and create ten new questions for the people you tag to answer.
4. You have to choose 10 people to tag and post their icons on your journal.
5. Go to their pages and tell them you have tagged her/him.
6. No tag backs
7. No crap in the tagging section about "you are tagged if you're reading this." You legitimately (AKA, really, truly with all honesty) have to tag 10 people
1. Do you hate me for tagging you?
Actually, no! I'm quite honored you keep remembering me, Hikari!
2. Are you going to continue this meme?
The invisible, non-existant powers-that-be tell me I must. Obviously I should listen to them.
3. Where do you live currently?
On the coast of Canada. That's riiiiiiight, the second biggest country in the world (last I heard, as long as Russian hasn't decided to cut itself in half).
4. Do you like where you live?
I love it! I live in a temperate rainforest. The scenery reminds me of Europe, full of mountains, rock faces, cascading waterfalls, abundance of wildlife. Beautiful sights. The natural world around me is a constant source of inspiration for everything I do.
5. Do you plan on moving anywhere sometime in the next few years?
I couldn't live anywhere else, I don't think. I live in a small town. I like cities--they have a certain charm to them, when you travel through them on a sky train, so much to see, so much appeal. I can understand why so many people of my generation flock to them. But I've grown so much around nature, learned to love it so much more than man-made forests of concrete. I don't think I could stand to live in such a big, impersonal space. Or find a more enchanting town than mine.
6. What is your favorite personal work?
Hard question. It's difficult for me to decide, but I'd have to say
Panadrome Symphony"
This one has always been up there in my favorites... I felt so happy and free experimenting with the design as I created it. And the story behind her came as I was creating. In that way, it seemed as if she birthed herself and I was just the "help". It made me happy that she came out elegant, yet unassuming. I didn't really feel I could do that at the time. I still cringe when I view it with that awful, obnoxious watermark, though (I'll have to fix that, I think.. '''')
7. How long ago did you create it?
According to DA that was back in September of 2008. (WHOA. Long time!)
8. How long did it take you to finish?
I don't remember exactly. I think I stayed up late with my desk light on, drawing her. It took me some time, though. I can still tell I spent more time on it thinking than acting. Which I think can some times be the best. ♪
9. Do you think you spend more or less time on your art?
I'm hoping less! It's unhealthy how long I've spent on my works in the past! @////@;; That meaning, I spend an unreasonable amount of time fawning over details/redoing-redoing-redoing details in artworks and then suddenly don't continue to work on them and so it takes 6 months + for it to actually be completed. If it's lucky.
But really, I have no idea. I should do a time attack.
10. Are you happy with the way your art is now?
Yes and no. I know I've improved, and I'm delighted, but I take it drawing to drawing. It depends how well I can continue to execute what's in my head, which is always a constant struggle. I think we are all our own worst critics. I 've trained myself to appreciate where I'm at right now, though, because years back I would have been putting myself down and looked at my work right now and longed to get out of my grubby style to here. And I could be saying that now and long to be where I will be in 2 years time, but that's no good. I should enjoy it and develop with it, and let my art evolve itself.
That's when I make my favorite things.
--------------------------------------------------------
My Questions:
1. Why do you love the kind of art style that you work with now?
2. Is there any aspect of the natural world that inspires you and your work?
3. What makes you happiest about being an artist?
4. If you closed your eyes, what colour would you like to see when you open them?
5. What's your favorite season?
6. Why is it your favorite?
7. Could you tell me a bit about where you live?
8. Think of something cute! What's the first thing that comes to mind?
9. Why do you think your artwork/style is so different now than it was 3 years ago?
10. Is there a particular song that you seem to listen to the most when you create?
MY POOR POOR VICTIMS. PITY THEM. ♥
Wish I could tag more people~ If you want to answer my questions and aren't tagged make sure to send me a link to your journallllll. okaygotitsweet.
Whut up folks!
I'll tell you what's up. GLORIOUS THINGS. THAT'S WHAT.
The computer that I've been drawing on since the dawn of forever (an XP *crycryilovedyoupiggy* It was faithful, even if aged) became outdated and cut off from Windows support on the first of January, so my brother and I caved in and finally decided to update our stuffs. Honestly, if it wasn't for the updates dropping off, we would have probably keep using that computer till it died or overheated or both or exploded. But alas, twas time to move on.
Enter a new Dell XPS 8700 4th generation core processor gaming-applicable compy which was splendidly on sale (Minecraft creating gloriousness
Hmmmmmmmmmmm
That's the sound of me thinking.
I haven't posted much recently as it's been hard to finish things with all the events lately rotating around me.
But as I say that I highlight "finished". So I have a question to you, my watcher-chans.
Do you care if it's finished work I submit, or unfinished sketches? I fell like I have to really finish a sketch to have it even qualify for submission on here. But I got to thinking, maybe I've got that all wrong? What do you think? :> What do you watch me for?
Also: Animal Crossing, man. I'm either playing it or I'm not. And mostly I'm playing it. WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO ME LIFE ANIMAL CROSSSSSINNNNNG. Ye

Also, my brother is stellar. I love him. He bought me art books. THREE OF THEM. The Art of Tangled, The Art of Wreck-It Ralph and The Art of How to Train Your Dragon. cry cry cry he's the bestest cry cry. Such glorious beautiful things, full of juicy learning and techniques. I was super hyped for The Art of Ralph, but Tangled is proving to be my favorite! Who wants pictures??
Also a heads up that after this month I'll have more time to scan stuff. Hooray!
With the return
Devious Journal Entry
I am not dead.
Only minutely so.

I'll be on that soon, lovelies!
Out of curiosity, anyone got a challenge for me? Throw 2 words together and I'll pick the most interesting combination to draw! ;>

First of all, I am jealous of where you live. Second:
...it seemed as if she birthed herself and I was just the "help".
One of the best things in life, that.
